FREYRS VERGELTUNG | MAN AND NATURE
‘FREYR’S VERGELTUNG’ (‘FREYR’S VENGEANCE’) IS AN INSTALLATION THAT REPRESENTS THE SYMBIOTIC AS WELL AS THE PARASITIC RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MAN AND NATURE. THE CONCEPTION OF THIS PROJECT STARTED AFTER AN INTENSIVE INVESTIGATION OF THE LANDSCAPE AND ITS HISTORY DURING A 3 MONTH RESIDENCY IN SCHLOSS KALKHORST. THE INSTALLATION, CONSISTING OUT OF 2 FIGURES AND THE OLD OAK, REMAIN IN THE SCULPTURE GARDENS OF SCHLOSS KALKHORST SINCE ITS COMPLETION .
