SCULPTURE XI | PROCESS AS SCULPTURE
‘Sculpture XI’ is an experiment set up to reconcile with the primitive force of construction. The core value of the man-made scale building process and used an ancient sculptural architype, the female torso. The series is an investigation of the figurative towards the abstract of the classical. In Sculpture XI a classic subject matter is explored, in combination with the use of Concrete Casting methods deriving from the building industry, a method that was often used within ‘Modernism’
